Reunion - Great British Beer Festival (London) - 8th August 2007
10% of the entry met up at the GBBF this year to swap notes on who was getting the best deal on buss passes! John Toomer winning the 'I've travelled furthest today' coming from Northallerton on his Senior Citizen Railcard. JT though couldn't beat Ron Wells overall who had come over from Sweden, just to see his old mates - or so he told us. Pete Harry and Mike Strange being rather smug as they were still 59 - but not for much longer! Oh yes; there were 450 different beers to choose from.

P.S. If you couldn't make this event why not join us the next time - watch this space.

Pete Oliver's (Paddy's) 60th
Teri (Pete's better half) kindly invited Mike Strange and Pete Harry to their family party to celebrate Pete's 60th. The evidence that his family think the world of him is recorded in the pictures of the event. The 104th are now approaching sixty (or already there) so it was an opportunity to celebrate with Paddy on his 60th and think of the rest of the entry as we all reach the age of the bus pass!

Locking and Weston - 15th/16th October 2006
Several of the guys took the opportunity to meet up with Pete Challingsworth 'Chuck' as he was on a rare visit to the UK. Time was taken to visit Locking Camp and Weston, just to check if things had change in forty years!

'Chuck', Pete Harry, Pete 'Paddy' Oliver and Charlie 'Chas' Crofton outside the Coach House in Locking village   Dinner on the Sunday evening. Chas, Pete H, Chuck and Roger 'Smiffy' Smith   No visit is complete without a visit to the Raglan Arms! Chuck surveys the old haunt - Ummmm!!!   The last time Chuck was in the vicinity of this cafe he became an LA, not bad considering he was a CA to start with. Chuck does not hold a grudge and now thinks 'this is a nice place for a cup of tea and a bacon sandwich'!   This is the same cafe in St James street. It used to have a different name and was paid a visit by the Apps when the 102nd were Senior Entry. The cafe was previously called xxxx. Answers on the message board please (ed).

Beer Festival - August 2006

104th RAF Locking Great British Beer Festival John Toomer, Mike Strange and Pete Harry met up for a few beers at the Great British Beer Festival on Friday August 4th, 2006. A chance to catch up with John as we hadn't been together since the 30th reunion in Weston. Besides enjoying the beer it was a chance to talk about old times as well as the future, as our thoughts turn to retirement!
